This study deals with the gassing trend of the dissolved-in-oil analysis of three single-phase transformers built in 1997. The history of the gas generation development in these three free-breathing transformers showed that ethylene and carbon dioxide were produced progressively under normal operating conditions without simultaneous generation of hydrogen and other hydrocarbon gases.
