U617: Redesign of Electric Water Heaters - <br>Volume 1: Bacteriological Analysis <br>Volume 2: Thermal Analysis

Volume 1: This project examined the relationship between the domestic electric water heater and the presence of L pneumophila in these appliances. The most important parameter in predicting the growth of these bacteria in the heaters was the temperature at the base of the water heaters. Volume 2: This project examines temperature profiles inside domestic water heaters in order to discover a possible correlation between the presence of Legionella pneumophila and the thermal fields in those units.
