Copper wire heads were generated in the laboratory by short-circuiting copper wire with 115 volt AC current protected by 15 ampere circuit breakers. The precise short circuit conditions which reproducibly result in bead formation are reported. U598: Development & Testing of a New "High Efficiency"Kool-Fire Heat Pump

Ontario Hydro Research Division, participating in a co-funded project with the Canadian Electrical Association and Kool-Fire Limited, measured the laboratory and field performance of an experimental residential burner-assisted heat pump built by the Kool-Fire company. Traditional large-scale supply side electrical energy storage methods are compared with demand side energy storage methods that may now be economic because of recent electric utility changes or because of recent development work. The characteristics of various energy storage methods are summarized. U1026: Ice Rink Demonstration Project - Greenbriar Recreation Centre

This project identifies the energy saving potential in ice arenas by measuring and documenting the consumption of the major electrical loads.
